Perhaps her agent turned the part down without informing Anne. Glen Larson sent her an early draft of a script that she was to use as an actor in the 1978 television program Battlestar Galactica. Initially, she rejected the role because she thought it was too fragile. Glen created a completely new character for her called Sheba that was stronger. After she read the first 25 pages of the story The Living Legend she accepted the part immediately. The show ran for only one episode. She was in Joyride (1977) which was a movie which she co-starred and performed in along alongside Desi Arnaz Jr. Melanie Griffith, Robert Carradine.
